Aït Benhaddou is a fortified earthen settlement in the Ounila Valley, inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1987. Its grouped buildings and defensive walls help explain the architecture of southern Morocco. The surrounding village also has everyday life beyond the visitor route.
